Estimates, not advice

Our calculators and articles provide general information about how UK pay, Income Tax, National Insurance, pensions and student loan deductions work. They produce estimates based on the assumptions set out on our methodology page. They are not regulated financial, tax, legal or accounting advice, and they do not take your personal circumstances into account. Always confirm figures with your payslip, HMRC or a qualified professional before making a financial decision.

Accuracy

We take reasonable care to keep rates and thresholds current and to correct errors promptly, but we do not warrant that the site is free from mistakes or that it reflects every change in law or HMRC practice. Your actual pay may differ because of your tax code, benefits in kind, Scottish or Welsh tax status, salary sacrifice arrangements, mid-year changes and payroll timing.

Limitation of liability
